into the timeline of black cultural representation and idealism in community.

In reflecting on the legacies of black thought through art,

we follow black exoctification from its origin,

showing how the past shapes the present through social gatekeeping,

and how aesthethics of excess serves as a cultural binary to allude the future of black life.
